Spring Maternity Session with Yorba Linda CA Maternity Photographer

We are so excited to be sharing this beautiful and bright springtime maternity session with you today! Julie and Eric are just about the sweetest couple we’ve ever worked with. They came to us through another client in the SJP Family and we couldn’t be more grateful! Julie and Eric decided on a baby plan with us, which means we got the opportunity to capture their maternity session - but we will also get the extreme pleasure of capturing their sweet baby girl’s entire first year at the SJP studio and at some beautiful outdoor locations! We already can’t wait!

After booking, we spoke with Julie and Eric about the styles and colors they were going to want for their completely customized newborn session when Charlotte arrived. After we made some stylistic decisions, we backed up and started thinking about their maternity session. Based on the colors we had chosen for their newborn portraits, we chose a custom maternity gown for Julie to wear that would keep a beautiful color palette across their portraits! And to top it off, Julie looked absolutely stunning in it. This magenta gown flattered her beautiful baby bump perfectly! Once we had their outfits lined up, we worked with Julie and Eric to choose the perfect location. This park in Yorba Linda was just right. Everything was in bloom during our session and we were graced with the most vibrant colors. We were thrilled! Julie and Eric always told us that was one of their favorite things about our work, so it was wonderful to find a location that encouraged our vibrant style even more!!

Our session was great! Julie and Eric were so excited about getting to meet their baby girl and it showed! There’s truly nothing like the anticipation and excitement of first time parents. Every pregnancy and baby is so special, but first timers? Their joy is unparalleled and that was so true of this gorgeous couple. Julie was amazing and was up for letting us travel around the park so that we could capture the two of them in various locations - resulting in so many beautiful portraits to choose from! Julie and Eric are such a wonderful couple - you could see how much they love each other through the sweet moments of laughter they shared during the shoot. They’re going to be absolutely wonderful parents!! We are so excited for them!

Turns out, Charlotte was excited to meet them too! Just under two weeks after our shoot, Miss Charlotte arrived! We couldn’t wait to have her in the studio and meet her - and trust us, you will LOVE the newborn portraits we got! Keep your eye out on the blog for those to make an appearance soon!
