"The days are long but the years are short."
People always tell you that when you have children, time seems to go faster. I didn’t truly understand this until I stopped for a few minutes to reflect on how much has changed since I started in this business.
Long story short, I started taking photography seriously when my twins, Sadie and James, were born and now they’re teenagers! This means I’ve been shooting for nearly 15 years. It’s hard to believe it’s been that long. I love what I do and I adore the families I get to watch grow and change, so most days it doesn’t feel like work.
As I have watched them grow and change so quickly I am reminded why it is so very important to not only enjoy the journey but also document it and not just on social media. I feel privileged and grateful that so many families over the years have allowed me to do just that. They let me capture the big moments, the “everyday” moments and everything in between. I have the privilege of creating one of a kind products that they get to enjoy everyday and that will be passed down for generations.
